Bam Coleman, owner and creator of In Stitches, has been an avid stitcher, both needle point and knitting for most of her life. Tired from many years as a volunteer for numerous organizations, Bam moved to Atlanta from Asheville, NC in 2006 to be with her two adult children and 3 grandsons, who you may get to meet at the shop!  Bam’s stitching career began in high-school when she designed and sewed her own clothing.  She continued to sew for her children when they were young and took up knitting to make them sweaters.  Bam has needlepointed most of her life beginning with the classic monogrammed basket purse popular in the 1960s.  She got back into needlepoint when her first grandson was born in 2004 and needled a stocking, still a masterpiece in the making.  Bam’s other hobbies include skiing in Deer Valley, UT, cat ownership, gourmet cooking, and exercise. But, her favorite hobby is grandmother.  She looks forward to seeing you at the Shop!
